SUMMARY:Penn’s Tavern Paddle
DESCRIPTION:Appalachian Kayak presents the Penn’s Tavern Paddle. Kayak to the beautiful and historic Penn’s Tavern Restaurant and enjoy a cold drink and delicious food! \nTavern reservations are recommended\, but not required.  You can expect to get to the shore 3-4 hours from when we pull out of the parking lot.   \nWhere:  Penn’s Tavern Restaurant\, 113 River Rd\, Route 147 Sunbury\, PA 17801 \nWhen:  Second Saturday of each month\, June through October \nWe will meet at Penn’s Tavern at 8:45. Please park at the south end of the lot.  If you are just getting shuttle service\, I will help you load your boat on my trailer. We will drive up-river to Shady Nook and you will float back down. It is 4.5 miles.  Rental includes boat\, paddle\, life vest and orientation. \nRegistration is required. Click here to register. \nIf you are on the morning shuttle\, PLEASE be in the van ready to depart the tavern at 9:00 so there is not a delay for the afternoon shuttle.   If there is only a morning or only an afternoon shuttle\, the schedule can be more flexible.  \n\nPricing:  $50 Single 3-hr Rental      $80 Tandem 3-hr Rental      $20 Shuttle Only \nWe need a minimum of 5 participants for this event to run. DESCRIPTION:Join us in June On the Juniata! \nWhat: You decide how long you want to be on the water and where you want to start and end.  Get shuttle service for your kayaks or rent ours. \nWhen: The event says 9:00-4:00. You do not need to report at 9:00 am\, nor be on the water until 4:00pm. This is a suggested time period during which rentals and shuttle service would be available. So\, for example\, you can meet me at 9:30 at PFBC Greenwood\, get a shuttle up to Thompsontown and be done at 1:00. Actual launch and pick-up times depend who wants to go where\, when and will be finalized and confirmed closer to the actual date. \nWhere: Multiple put-in and take-out location options.  PFBC Launches: Mifflintown\, Mifflin\, Muskrat Springs\, Thompsontown\, Greenwood; plus Buttonwood Campground.  Pricing & Information \nWho: Adults and children; Dogs\, one per shuttle   Minimum of 4 people   Maximum of 12-14 per shuttle \nHow: Reservations are required.
