What: You decide how long you want to be on the water and where you want to start and end.  Get shuttle service for your kayaks or rent ours.

When: If the event says 9:00-4:00. You do not need to report at 9:00 am, nor be on the water until 4:00pm. This is a suggested time period during which rentals and shuttle service would be available. So, for example, you can meet me with your boats at 9:30 at PFBC Greenwood, get a shuttle up to Thompsontown and be done at 1:00. Actual launch and pick-up times depend who wants to go where, when and will be finalized and confirmed closer to the actual date.

Where: Multiple put-in and take-out location options.  PFBC Launches: Mifflintown, Mifflin, Muskrat Springs, Thompsontown, Greenwood; plus Buttonwood Campground.  Pricing & Information

Who: Adults and children; Dogs, one per shuttle   Minimum of 4 people per day/shuttle.**  Maximum of 12-14. 

How: Reservations are required. Please call (717) 805-8980 or email appalachiankayak@hotmail.com for more information, or to check availability.  To make reservations, please complete a Reservation Request Form.   Appalachian Kayak is a mobile business traveling to several different locations. The number and type of boats on the trailer varies based on customer requests. Therefore, it is required that you make reservations in advance. However, sometimes it is possible to join a shuttle at the last minute if it is not full. Sometimes we bring extra boats or have extra space for your boats. Please call to check for same-day availability.

WEATHER:  Trips run rain or shine–we reserve the right to modify or cancel trips when severe weather and water conditions are determined unsafe by      Appalachian Kayak’s management. If this occurs, we will reschedule or issue a rain check. Your rain check is transferable and does not expire.

*Shuttle of personal boats or paddle is available if at least one person in your party is renting a boat, you are joining an existing group or there are 2 or more personal boats in your group.

**An event or shuttle may be cancelled if fewer than 4 people make reservations.  If this happens, you will be notified 1 day in advance.
